The immediate past National Vice Chairman (North West) of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Inuwa Abdulkadir, has died of complications arising from COVID-19.
Abdulkadir, a Lawyer by profession, was the Chairman of the Governing Council of the National Food Drugs Administration and Control (NAFDAC) before his demise.
He had a running battle with the leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) last year after he was suspended over anti-party activities in Sokoto State.
He was reinstated by the leadership of the APC in March but the Sokoto APC rejected his reinstatement and held on to his suspension.
The late Inuwa Abdulkadir was also a former Minister of Youth and Sports Development during the administration of President Goodluck Jonathan.
He was a former Attorney General of Sokoto State, and until his death, the chairman Governing Council of the Sokoto State University.
