Friends, family, and well wishers thronged the Merciful Christ Church, Apata, Ibadan Capital of Oyo State to bid former presidential aspirant, and Chairman of National Action Council (NAC), Dr Roland Olapade Agoro, farewell as he was laid to rest today, November 13, 2020.
The preacher at the funeral ceremony, Apostle Thomas Olabode Dawodu, extolled the virtues of the late Baba Aladura and described his efforts to see a united Aladura churches. He urged everyone to emulate the late Agoro, who always pursued the path of peace and progress.
The children of the late monarch could not hold back tears as they paid tribute to their father, who they all described in glowing words.
Agoro, 77, who was the Baba Aladura of Nigerian Association of Aladura Churches (NAAC) and General Overseer Of Merciful Christ Church, World Wide, was also a traditional ruler, the Owa Tapa of Itapa-Ijesha land.
He is also the Founder and Proprietor of Olapade Agoro Group of Schools and Chairman of Olapade Agoro Group of Companies.
Olapade Agoro was born on October 9, 1943 and died on November 1, 2020.
