There is a strong indication that the President of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, will soon be declared as the winner of 2020 presidential election held yesterday.
Akufo-Addo victory in the election will earn him second term of four years in office.
According to information gathered from Ghana, a total result of 37, 402 out of 38,933 polling stations have been reported.
While Akufo-Addo of the The New Patriotic Party (NPP), has 6,553,139 votes representing 51.57 per cent, his opponent, John Mahama of National Democratic Congress party (NDC), has 5, 984, 419, representing 47.09 per cent.
The outstanding polling stations are 1, 531, representing 3.93 per cent. Significantly, only three polling stations are left in Volta Region.
