Governor Ademola Adeleke has appointed a Nigerian veteran actress, and Nollywood member, Laide Bakare as Senior Special Assistant on Entertainment, Arts, Culture, and Tourism.
The Governor personally presented a letter of appointment to the actress in his office and was heard in a short video clip on YouTube congratulating the new SSA.
On her Instagram page, the actress promised to deliver her best.
She wrote: “Now an Honourable ya Allah I am grateful. To my new boss, Governor Ademola Jackson Adeleke Imole Osun. Thank you so much for the trust and opportunity to serve. I promise to deliver my best. So help me God Senior Special Assistant to the Governor of Osun state on Entertainment, Arts, Culture and Tourism.”
Bakare’s film, Jejere won the 2012 Best of Nollywood Awards in the Best Costume Design category.
She was nominated for Most Outstanding Actress Indigenous Category at the 4th Africa Movie Academy Awards in 2008 for her role in the film Iranse Aje.
