Governor Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti State has announced that his repeat COVID-19 test has come back negative.
Fayemi, who is also the chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF) stated this on his Twitter page today, August 1, 2020.
He said, “After 11 days in isolation, I received news that my CoviD 19 repeat test came back negative. My sincere gratitude goes to God Almighty, my family, my medical team and all well wishers for the prayers and solidarity. We must continue to do all we can to tackle the pandemic”.
Governor Fayemi had tested positive to COVID-19 on July 22 2020 and had been on self-isolation.
