Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde, today stated that the emergence of the coronavirus in the state has put his government on its toes, stressing that his administration would do everything possible to keep the residents safe.
Makinde stated this while commissioning the recently renovated Agbami Isolation Centre situated at Jericho Area of Ibadan.
The Governor explained that the Centre, which would serve as a temporary isolation centre during this COVID-19 pandemic, has eight-bed spaces with private self-contained rooms with a private entrance for patients. It has oxygen concentrators for patients who may require oxygen as part of their treatment for COVID-19.
He stated that the centre would offer services to persons whose circumstances may either make it undesirable for them to self-isolate at home or who require more high-end self-isolation services adding, “We are offering them the privacy and facilities they desire at reasonable costs”.
