Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State on Wednesday August 13, 2020, swore in his new Commissioner for Environment and Natural Resources, Barrister Lateef Idowu Oyeleke at the Government House, Agodi, Ibadan.
Barrister Oyeleke was confirmed by the State House of Assembly as replacement for late Hon. Kehinde Ayoola, who died in May, 2020, after a brief illness.
In his speech, the Governor stated that the appointment of Oyeleke was based on merit, charging the new commissioner to give a good account of himself in the course of the new assignment.
The swearing-in was attended by the Deputy Governor, Engr. Rauf Olaniyan, the Secretary to the State Government, Mrs Olubamiwo Adeosun, the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Chief Bisi Ilaka and other cabinet members as well as chieftains of the PDP in the state led by the party chairman, Alhaji Kunmi Mustapha.
