Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State has described the fire incident that destroyed Dugbe Alawo Market yesterday as unfortunate and ill-timed.
Makinde stated this today when he visited the Market to assess the extent of the damage caused by the fire incident. The inferno destroyed property worth several millions of naira.
“This afternoon, we visited Dugbe Alawo Market to assess the extent of the damage caused by the fire incident, yesterday. The timing couldn’t have been worse as we are still dealing with the economic and social implications of COVID-19”, the governor noted.
The victims of the inferno lamented their loss calling on the governor and well-meaning Nigerians to come to their aid.
