Governor Gboyega Oyetola of Osun State has been declared winner of the governorship primary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), held Saturday February 19, 2022. He won in all the 30 local government areas in the state.
According to the Chairman of the governorship primary committee, Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq of Kwara State, Oyetola won the election, having polled 222,169 votes in the primary election.
Oyetola’s closest rival, Moshood Adeoti, the former Secretary to the State Government, garnered 12,921 votes and Lasun Yusuf, the former Deputy Speaker, House of Representatives scored 460 votes to cliched the third position.
Commenting, Osun APC chairman, Gboyega Famoodun, commended the governorship primary committee for a job well done.
