Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State has tested positive to Coronavirus.
The Governor personally made the announcement of his COVID-19 status on his Twitter page, saying that he is asymptomatic and have gone on self isolating.
He stated, “Today I tested positive for COVID-19. All is well. I’m asymptomatic and have been self isolating. Work continues. Your continued prayers over my well being are most appreciated”.
“Stay well . Stay safe . Wear your mask”, he added.
The governor was seen sneezing among his supporters when he went to submit his governorship aspiration forms in Abuja. It could be seen that social distancing measures were not observed:
