Dr Rabe Nasir, the Katsina State Commissioner of Science and Technology, has been assassinated.
According to Daily Trust, he was gunned down at his residence in Fatima Shema Estate in Katsina metropolis.
A source said he was killed on Wednesday while another said his assailants struck on Thursday. A friend of the deceased said, “Late Nasir was shot after Asr prayer in his residence here in Fatima Shema Estate.”
He was the Special Advisor to Governor Aminu Masari on Science and Technology before he was eventually appointed a commissioner.
The deceased was born in Mani, Mani local government area of Katsina.
Dr Nasir was educated at the University of Abuja, University of Kansas Lawrence, Bayero University Kano, and Government Secondary School Giwa, Kaduna State.
He worked with the Department of State Security (DSS) and Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
He was also a member of the House of Representatives between 2007 to 2011, representing Mani/Bindawa federal constituency.
