Hilton Hotel in Ile-Ife, Osun State, was on Thursday, November 18, 2021 shut down over the death of an MBA student of the Obafemi Awolowo University, Timothy Adegoke.
The owner of the hotel, Ramon Adedoyin, is also currently detained and undergoing interrogation in connection with the death of the student.
Confirming the current development, the Osun State Police Command said Adedoyin and other suspects arrested are yet to be released.
Police Public Relations Officer, Osun State Command, Osogbo, Yemisi Opalola, said the police is awaiting autopsy report.
“Adedoyin was arrested on 15th November, 2021. He is currently in police detention, undergoing interrogation in connection with the case, while awaiting the autopsy report from the hospital.
“The state police command is committed to ensure justice is done; no matter the personality of the person(s) involved in the case or how highly or lowly placed in the society; if found culpable,” she said.
