Former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara, has dumped the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), and returned to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
He was led by the Chairman of the APC Caretaker Committee and Governor of Yobe state, Mai Mala Buni to meet with President Muhammadu Buhari at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
The former speaker did not speak to State House correspondents, but Governor Buni confirmed that he had become a member of the APC.
Governor Buni said President Buhari had welcomed Dogara, and expressed happiness with the development.
Dogara had left the APC for the PDP in 2018.
