The Black Motions Infotainment Limited, in collaboration with the National Museum of Unity, Ibadan, has concluded plans to host the iDance Festival, themed “Celebrating Heritage, Creativity, Rhythm, and Unity Through Dance.”
The festival, which is free and open to the general public, cultural enthusiasts, and educators, will hold between July 21 and 25, 2025, at the National Museum, Aleshinloye, Ibadan, the capital of Oyo State.
The event bids to showcase indigenous and cultural dances, is expected to feature spectacular performances, dance competitions, cultural exchanges and workshops, live music and drumming sessions, a cultural marketplace, and heritage awards and recognition.

According to the Convener, and the Creative Director, Black Motions Infotainment Limited, Fikayo Oyawale, the event aims to celebrate the diversity and beauty of indigenous dance traditions, connect participants with cultural ambassadors, historians, and performers, support the preservation of heritage through dance, and offer an opportunity to experience the joy and energy of traditional and contemporary performances.
Speaking on the programme, Oyawale described the iDance Festival as a vibrant celebration of the rich heritage, diversity, and artistry of traditional dance forms from various cultures.
He added that the annual festival brings together performers, enthusiasts, and cultural ambassadors to showcase the beauty and significance of indigenous dance traditions passed down through generations.
According to him, “iDance Festival provides a platform for the preservation, promotion, and education of indigenous art forms, fostering cultural exchange and offering an experience that highlights the deep connection between people, history, nature, and movement.
“iDance Festival is a space for dialogue and solidarity, offering attendees the opportunity to engage directly with indigenous performers and learn about their rich heritage. The performances, workshops, and interactive activities will celebrate the diversity of global cultures while underscoring the importance of preserving traditions that are often under threat.”
