The appointed heads of the states’ CRU, who were inducted into their offices during a 2-day workshop held on February 21, and 22, 2024, at the Peacekeeping Hall, 5th floor, Force Headquarters, Abuja were enjoined to be upright and just in the discharge of their duties. He urged them to be firm, up and doing, reiterating the commitment of the IGP to ensuring the protection of people’s fundamental human rights and promoting the core values of the force.
The induction ceremony and 2-day workshop also had in attendance the representative of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) and AIG Austine Iwah, retired AIG and UN certified resource person.
The IGP and other partners, however, promised that the unit would continually receive several training and workshop programmes to better equip them for their new responsibilities, and project the vision statement of the new leadership of the police for improved service delivery.
