The leader of All Progress Congress (APC) and former Governor of Lagos State, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, today, stated that he is not desperate to be a president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, saying, “If I am defeated at the poll, I will go back to my house”.
Tinubu, while addressing his supporters in Yoruba language said, “Ti o ba na mi, ma pada sile” (if you beat me, I will go to my house).
“That is the truth. Be rest assure, I will do my best. What I want to tell you today is that have a peace in your mind”, Tinubu added.
However, the Tinubu Support Organisation has revealed that Asiwaju’s nomination form was signed by 420 registered members, stressing that 370 of the 420 are statutory delegates and 12 of those are sitting governors.
The form has been submitted at the International Conference Centre, Abuja.
