A prominent member of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Oyo State Chapter and the Managing Director of News Index, Jimoh Tiamiyyu Alaanu, died today, October 2, 2021.
Alaanu, who is the Vice Chairman, Oke -Ogun Federated Chapel as well as a member of the Oyo NUJ Ethics and Disciplinary Committee died at General Hospital, Kisi after a brief illness.
NUJ, Oyo State Chapter expressed sadness over the passing away of the veteran journalist saying, “May God overlook his shortcomings and grant him Al-Jannah Firdaous”.
This is the second bereavement of the union within the space of two days with the demise of another prominent member, Alhaja Nike Ayankojo.
