United States of America Democratic Candidate, Senator Joe Biden, 2020 candidate for President of the United States has picked Senator Kamala Harris as his running mate.
Biden announced this in his twitter page saying, “I have the great honor to announce that I’ve picked @KamalaHarris— a fearless fighter for the little guy, and one of the country’s finest public servants — as my running mate”.
He said, “Back when Kamala was Attorney General, she worked closely with Beau. I watched as they took on the big banks, lifted up working people, and protected women and kids from abuse. I was proud then, and I’m proud now to have her as my partner in this campaign”.
“Don’t forget that in the middle of this pandemic, the Trump Administration is in court trying to eliminate Obamacare and rip health insurance away from millions. It’s heartless. I’ll protect and build on the ACA to ensure everyone gets the care they need”, he added.
However, reactions have continued to trail the picking of Harris as Vice President candidate to Biden, as many Americans described it as a welcome development.
Some Americans hold that the combination of Biden and Harris would unify the American people, holding that black women and women of color have long been underrepresented in elected office and believe that the combination would change this in November.
