Actress Joke Silva, the wife of a veteran actor, Oludotun Jacobs popularly known as Olu Jacob has debunked the rumour going round like a wide fire that her husband is not dead.
Many online news and social media today broke unverified news that Olu Jacob died today to the indignation of his family members.
This is the second time rumours about the death of the ace Nigerian actor and film executive, as Joke Silva had earlier dispelled the rumour of her husband’s death in August 2022.
According to Joke Silva in a statement on her Instagram story, her husband is alive and doing well.
She wrote, “Good day everyone, trust all is going well. The Jacobs Clan would love to inform you that Papa J (Olu Jacobs MFR), is alive and well; enjoying himself as always in the comfort of his home and loved ones.”
Similarly, on Sunday, June 30, Betty Irabor, a Nigerian writer and columnist debunked the rumour on her social media handles, saying, “Olu Jacob is well and alive… pls ignore all rumors of his passing.”
Olu Jacobs has been suffering from dementia for the past few years.
