Some residents of Lagos State today trooped out en masse to protest against a series of crises in Nigeria, demanding that the 2023 elections should not hold until all the crises are fixed.
The Lagosians, mainly from Lagos Island noted that they are tired of insecurity, inflation, religious, socio-economic and political problems rocking the nation.
Most of them were heard saying “Enough is enough. No election must hold in 2023. We are tired of bad government. We are angry. There is no food. Our lives are no longer secured. People are being killed unnecessarily. Many innocent people have been killed without committing any crime. We are hungry. Our businesses have collapsed.”
The protest caused gridlock in some parts of Lagos State.
