A notable Lagos-based landgrabber, Saheed Mosadoluwa, has been accused of using policemen and women, and deadly thugs to terrorise Lagos residents and illegally dispose land owners of their property.
Saheed of Harmony Gardens and director at Amen Estate living at Phase One of the estate was seen in a video on X storming an expanse of land with many armed policemen and thugs and assaulting those he met on the land working.
He ordered his thugs and policemen to strip those that were met on the land and beat them.
His policemen and thugs beat those they met on the land, naked them, and ordered them to lie on top of themselves.
The victims of this land grabber were seen begging him to spare their lives.
A man, who identified himself as Shamusideen Oluwo, who claimed that he is the owner of the land narrated his ordeals in the hands of Saheed and his thugs, thanking God for saving them from being killed by these attackers.
He narrated, “My name is Shamusideen Oluwo. I have a serious issue that I want Nigerians to help me. On the 8th of July, 2023, I was working on my site at Epe Area of Lagos State. I started work at 10 am. After 10 am, I saw some people coming straight to my site.
“I saw Saheed Ibile with many policemen, many cultists, with guns, cutlasses and machetes, and jazz (charms). They started shooting sporadically. While some people escaped unhurt, some ran away with gun injuries. I had to lie down with my boys to avoid a bullet hitting me. They beat us very well.
“They took me to the police station in Lagos and I spent a week in the police station. They took me to Abuja again and spent two weeks there. I did not do anything. My life is in danger now. These Ibile boys are targeting me everywhere. He has sent them to injure and kill me anywhere they see me. On my way, some boys will just attack and beat me.
“The day that the incident happened, July 8, after beating us, he took us inside bush with the aim of killing us but I thank God, we cheated death. They blindfolded us. They covered our faces. They wanted to kill us, thank God, out of God favour, two men emerged from nowhere going to their farm. When these thugs realised that they were advancing toward us, Ibile asked them to remove the cloth from our faces so that those people would not know what was happening. They warned the people not to pass the route on their way coming. When they realised that some people have seen them, they changed their minds from killing us again. It was at that point they removed my cloth, naked me and my boys, videoed us and posted it on Facebook. I did not do anything. I want Nigerians to help me.”
