Policemen acting under the orders of the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Mohammed Adamu, have sealed off the National Secretariat of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Abuja.
This comes amidst the leadership crisis rocking the ruling party.
The IGP has instructed that members of the National Working Committee(NWC) should not be allowed to enter the party secretariat.
According to sources, this became necessary so as to enable the Police chief and the two NWC groups to review and discuss the various court orders pronouncing each of the two sides as the chairman of the party.
The party has been in a leadership crisis following an appeal court order upholding the suspension of Adams Oshiomhole as national chairman of the party.
It was also gathered that a meeting has been scheduled for 1pm between the IGP and the two camps of the party’s National Working Committee (NWC) at the force headquarters.
