Following the increase in the active cases of coronavirus in Oyo State, the state Governor, Seyi Makinde has postponed the resumption of the state workers from Monday April 20, 2020 to Monday, the 27th of April 2020.
Governor Makinde revealed this during a press briefing in Ibadan on the update of coronavirus in the state.
Makinde specifically stated, “The results we are receiving from Adamasingba Stadium has made us move the resumption at the State Secretariat forward to Monday, the 27th of April 2020. This is subject to further evaluation based on our circumstances closer to that time”.
The Governor thanked the press for the balanced reporting of the activities of the state government as well as the health workers for working days and nights to save lives.
“This government will continue to make their welfare our priority and ensure that they are adequately protected as they remain on the front lines in the fight against COVID-19 in Oyo State”, he assured the health workers.
