Ebun Olowu
The Osun State Police Command today arraigned a 24 year old man, Tope Moses, before Ifetedo Magistrates’ Court for stealing four kegs of palm oil worth N40,000.
According to the Prosecution Counsel, Cpl. Gbenga Dauda, the defendant, who conspired with others at large, committed the offence around 1:30am on September 8, 2020 at Omisore Village, via Garage Olode in Ifetedo, Ife South Local Government.
Also, the Prosecution Counsel was alleged to have stolen N25,000, belonging to Mrs Comfort Olabisi, adding that the offence, contravened the provisions of sections 411 and 516 of the Criminal Code, Laws of Osun, 2002 and 2003 respectively.
Moses, however, pleaded not guilty.
Following the bail application moved by the Defence Counsel, P.O. Oyeboade, Magistrate Adekanmi Adeyeba, who adjourned the case till October 8, 2020 admitted the defendant to bail in the sum of N250, 000 with two sureties in like sum.
The sureties must swear to affidavit of means and reside within the court jurisdiction.
