A 34-year-old housewife and a mother of 13, Hauwa’u Sulaiman, living at No. 70, Alfadarai in Zaria, has given birth to a set of quadruplets at the Gambo Sawaba General Hospital, Zaria.
According to NAN, the woman, who gave birth to her new babies on Friday, June 5, 2020 now has 17 children.
Speaking to newsmen, the woman who had lost the only male child among the quadruplets, explained that the set of the new quadruplets she delivered was her eighth delivery.
It was gathered that the mother and the three surviving babies have been transferred to the Ahmadu Bello University Teaching Hospital (ABUTH) for better care.
Also speaking, her husband, Malam Sulaiman Mohammed, a driver, said that, twice, his wife had given birth to a set of triplets, a set of twins two times, and triplet at different times before the quadruplets.
Similarly, his mother, Saudatu Haruna, said that the birth of the quadruplets was not a surprise to the family because it is natural to her family, adding that she gave birth to a set of twins thrice.
She explained that her mother was a triplet and her father was a twin.
