“My heart is broken. My parish, St Francis Catholic church, Owaluwa, Owo, where I worshiped almost all my secondary school years was attacked. The pews I once knew is strewn and littered with blood. The video is haunting me. My dad has bullets still lodged in his body.
“Many, I mean well over 150 persons are dead and many still in the theater struggling. The doctors are overwhelmed! On a Sunday! Their only offense is going to church. My mum is not only dealing with the emotions of a health worker, but her dear husband is in pains. God!
“This church is right in the centre of town. Just behind the Palace of the Olowo of Owo! They pulled the church’s altar with a dynamite, shot hundreds execution style. A very big church is strewn with blood. Young choristers, young men, women, children and elderly dead!!! No!!!!
“Nigeria happened close to home. It happened to me! God!
“My dad is out of the theatre. The bullets have been removed from his body. He’s still weak and in St Louis Hospital Owo. I called my sister who just got there and all she could do was cry. She said Judith, there’s blood and dead people everywhere! #ondo I am still in shock”.
