A radio presenter, popularly known as Baba Bintinlye, of the Ibadan-based private station Fresh FM Nigeria has reportedly passed away after collapsing on the way to the station for his Saturday morning show.
On Saturday, March 11, 2023, popular radio presenters, Komolafe Olaiya and Olalomi Amole, announced the death of Baba Bintin during their radio show.
The presenters announced at the end of the Saturday morning programme that the radio host had passed away while walking from Amuloko area in Ibadan to Fresh FM at Challenge in the hope of finding a Point Of Sale, POS agent to get cash.
Earlier in the programme, the duo had discussed the presenter’s unusually late arrival at the studio.
In an audio played on the radio, a man said they found him slumped on his way to the office and rushed him to the University College Hospital, UCH, but died on getting to the hospital.
Baba Bintin, who usually speaks Ijesha dialect and was usually addressed as “Boda Olu” and “Uncle” by Komolafe, was a comic presenter on Oyin Ado programme on Saturdays on the Radio Station to give updates on markets in the state.
