Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State has disclosed that a driver with the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC who transports samples of suspected COVID-19 cases for tests has tested positive to the virus.
The Governor made this known while giving an update on COVID-19 in the state during a joint security meeting in Lafia.
Governor Sule stated that the affected driver who resides in Ado village of Karu Local Government Area of the state had been moved to COVID-19 Isolation Centre at the Federal Medical Centre, Keffi for treatment.
There are 12 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Nasarawa State with one death and no discharge so far.
