The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Saturday October 24, 2020 reported 48 new cases of Coronavirus in Nigeria, bring the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 61,930,
The cases were recorded in Lagos-18, FCT-13, Kaduna-6, Rivers-5, Ogun-5 and Ondo-1.
According to the Centre, out of 61,930 confirmed cases 57,285 have been discharged, while 1,129 deaths have been recorded.
It would be recalled that the Centre did not reported Covid-19 infection recorded in the country for about six days.
The Centre stated in a statement obtained from the Twitter of the Centre, “We recently paused our social media activities as a sign of respect to lives lost and affected following the recent violence in parts of Nigeria. However, we continued testing and daily reporting of the Covid-19 situation on the NCDC Microsite”.
