The Northeast Zonal Coordinator, National Emergency Management Agency(NEMA), Ahmed Saidu Minin has died.
Minin died Tuesday afternoon in Maiduguri, after a brief illness at the University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital (UMTH), Borno State.
A statement posted on the official Facebook page of NEMA Northeast read: “With a heavy heart and total submission to the will of the Almighty, we regret to announce the passing away of Zonal Coordinator NEMA Northeast, Alhaji Ahmed Saidu Minin after a brief illness”.
The late zonal coordinator has since been laid to rest at Gwange cemetery in the evening in Maiduguri according to Islamic rites.
Minin who hailed from Niger state assumed office as Zonal Coordinator on January 3, 2019.
