Police operatives have arrested twenty-three suspects for their involvement in various crimes, including armed robbery, kidnapping, illegal possession of prohibited firearms, car snatching at gun point, and several other offences.
Items recovered from the suspects include one AK 49 rifle, one AK 47 rifle, two pump action guns, five locally made guns, nineteen locally made short guns, one hundred and twenty-five cartridges, one hundred and forty-five AK 47 ammunition, locally fabricated explosives and a Toyota Corolla vehicle with Reg. No. LSR 490 GC.
According to the Police, the suspects will be charged to court when investigation into their offenses are concluded.
