Nigeria has continued to record a surge in the case of Covid-19, as the nation recorded new cases of 747 on Wednesday August 4, 2021, bringing the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 176,011 .
The new cases were recorded in Lagos-488, Akwa Ibom-121, Oyo-29, Rivers-25, Ogun-15, FCT-13, Kaduna-13, Kwara-11, Ekiti-10, Osun-10, Edo-6, Abia-3, Anambra-2 and Plateau-1.
According to NCDC, out of the 176,011 confirmed cases, 165,208 cases have been discharged and 2,167 deaths have been recorded.
