Nigerian scholar, Dr. Faeren Matilda Adzege, has made history in Stavropol State Medical University, Stavropol, Russia as the first African to enter the university’s Hall of Fame.
According to information from the Nigerian Embassy in Russia, the Benue indigene also received a gold medal as the best graduating student for the class of 2020
Adzege, who gave an appreciation speech to the Rector, also laid wreaths at the university’s monument to the teachers and students of the school who died during the Great Patriotic War.
Over the years, she received other national and university awards including International Student of the Year (thrice in a row), Leader of the year (twice in a row), Face of the faculty of International students (twice in a row), and Miss Intellect – Stavropol State Medical University.
She also receives the presidential stipend for outstanding academic performance, excellence in research and cultural work.
Dr. Adzege studied Medicine in Russia under the Federal Government’s Bilateral Education Agreement (BEA) scholarship scheme.
