Nigerians and non-Nigerians have taken to social media demanding capital punishment for terrorists like bandits, kidnappers, Boko Haram, Islamic State’s West Africa Province (ISWAP), and the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) Members.
Nigerians shared this view upon the revelation that the Nigerian security forces have captured infamous bandits, Dan Umaru involved in the abduction of students from the Federal University Gusau.
An X personality, Imran Muhammad uploaded a video clip where Umaru was being interrogated in Hausa Language.
Nigerians condemned the Very Important Personality (VIP) treatment the Nigerian security accorded this terrorist and also condemned the recruitment of the terrorists into the security forces or release them after they have claimed that they have repented.
Among those who shared their thoughts on the arrest said:
Williams@checkwillyhere, “This shows our armed men are working. Capital punishment should be introduced for people like this to deter others from involving in such heinous crimes.”
Gbolahan Adeleke@Theprofessor127, “There should be a great punishment for people like this if not the atrocities won’t end.”
WHITE HORSE @ImBack80689267, “This crime should be death sentence straight. Imagine what this man-made people go through then.”
CREDO@Credo_promotion, “Just like they captured others but somehow Buhari organized Prison Break and released all the killers that’s how they will release this one Have your security agencies arrested killers that escaped from Prison under Buhari? How can you capture someone that kidnapped school children, raped them, and murder them and you are giving him a VIP ride Una Well done.”
Lifeissues11@AGINAS, “And yet, nothing will happen to him. They’ll later claim he swore by the Quran, has repented, and reintegrated back to the society.”
Dr Mind@Uchemind, “The news: the Nigerian Security Forces have captured a new Nigerian army recruit. Failed system.”
Musa Baba Aliyu@ALIYUMUSABABA1, “What has been happening to all those arrested.”
Ọmọ́túndé@Funkemyfun, “Very sure this one is not living inside the jungle, he stays in the city as his look portrays. This goes to show that the kidnapper could be our next-door neighbour or even employee: case study – Evans the billionaire kidnapper living in Magodo and big-time church donor/sponsor.”
Johnson@Jonehmk, “Very good, and kudos to our Nigeria Security Forces. We are proud of you. The criminal should be sent to his Maker for an appropriate judgment. No need to send him to prison.”
