Popular Nollywood actress, Rachael Oniga, has died.
According to her son, Olatunji, the actress died around 10pm on Friday, July 30, 2021. Though he said she had malaria and typhoid, it was gathered that Oniga died of COVID-19 complications.
Oniga, 64, was a very popular face in several English and Yoruba Nollywood movies.
Rachael Tabuno Oniga was born on May 23rd, 1957 in Lagos state, Nigeria to parents from from Eku, a community in Ethiope East local government area of Delta State.
She started her career in 1993. Her first movie was the blockbuster, Onome. She also featured in Tade Ogidan’s Owo Blow.
