The embattled Speaker of the Lagos State Assembly, Rt. Hon. Mudashiru Obasa, has been reinstated as the Speaker of the Assembly.
His return to the position follows the resignation of Mojisola Meranda, who stepped down with immediate effect.
Obasa was reappointed as Speaker during the House’s plenary session on Monday.
In January, he was impeached by lawmakers over multiple allegations of fraud.
