The Open, Distance and eLearning Association of Nigeria (ODeLAN), on Thursday July 30, 2020, elected its pioneer executive members with Professor Francis Egbokhare and Professor Oyesoji Aremu emerging as the President and 1st Vice President respectively.
While Professor Egbokhare is from the Department of Linguistics, Faculty of Arts, Professor Aremu from the Institute for Peace and Strategic Studies, University of Ibadan (UI), is currently the Director of Distance Learning, Osun State University.
Other executive members are: Professor Abubakar Kotos from Modibo Adamawa University of Technology, Yola, 2nd Vice President, Dr. Bankole Ogunleye, National Open University of Nigeria, Secretary, Dr. Maruff Oladejo, University of Lagos, Assistant Secretary, Professor Chinyere Egwuogu, Tai Solarin University of Education, Financial Secretary, Professor Theresa Ohi Odumuh, University of Abuja, Treasurer: Prof. Theresa Ohi Odumuh, University of Abuja, Dr. Gbenga Eretan, University of Lagos, Publicity Secretary, Professor Musa Aibinu, Federal University of Technology, Minna, Internal Auditor, and Professor Aishat Mubi, Modibo Adamawa University of Technology, Yola, Ex Officio.
ODeLAN, which is an assemblage of Open, Distance and eLearning stakeholders and practitioners in Nigeria, was established on Thursday, June 4, 2020 and has 150 members.
