At least one person was shot dead today as residents of Apata area in Ibadan, Oyo State trouped out to protest the scarcity of fuel and new Naira notes currently facing by Nigerians.
It was gathered that the police fired at protesters around the Apata Market area resulting in the death of the protester while another protester was seen with a gunshot wound on his arm.
As at the time of filing this report, operatives of the State’s security outfit, Operation Burst and other security agents have arrived the scene to put the situation under control..
