Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, the Ooni of Ife has married a sixth wife, Temitope Adesegun. The nuptial ceremony took place on Monday at Magodo, Lagos State.
This development was made known by the spokesman of the monarch, Yera Moses Olafare, via his social media handles.
Sharing the details of the ceremony on Facebook, Olafare wrote, “Ooni‘s wife, Queen Asake Temitope Morenike Ogunwusi majestically danced into the royal wedding arena and royally received by the Ogunwusis, kings and chiefs of Ife kingdom.”
Temitope Morenikeji Adesegun is the sixth woman the Ooni of Ife will be taking as wife within two months. She is the CEO of Hopes Alive Initiatives (HAI).
She is a princess from the Adesegun Ibipe Royal Dynasty of Ago-Iwoye in Ijebu North Local Government Area, Ogun State.
During the Babatunde Fashola administration as governor of Lagos state, she was the Personal Assistant to the late Secretary to the State Government, Princess Aderenle Adeniran-Ogunsanya.
She also has experience with the media as she was the anchor and host of the Lagos State Ministry of Health Public Health Advocacy Program, ‘Health-Wise’ aired for four years.
Temitope bagged diplomas in Linguistics and Data Processing from the University of Lagos in 1998 and 2000, respectively, and a Bsc Degree in Business Administration from the same university.
She is a certified alumnus of several universities, including the University of Oxford, United Kingdom; INSEAD Business School, Fontainebleau, France; University of Cambridge, Judge Business School, United Kingdom; and Harvard Kennedy School of Government in the United States.
