Students of Olabisi Onabanjo University (OOU), Ago-Iwoye, Ogun State, have showed their displeasure over the recent increase of the tuition fees for the 2023/2024 session by about 180 per cent.
It was gathered that the school management increased the fees without consultation with the student body. In one of the Faculties, the increment was from N85228 paid last session to N250,000. In another faculty, the fee was increased from N114,036 paid last session to N300,000.
Meanwhile, in a memo by the students union president, the students were told not to pay the new fees and not to participate in any school activities until further notice.
