The Chairman of Oyo State Security Network, codenamed Amotekun, General Kunle Togun, has revealed that Oyo State Government has approved the recruitment of 3,000 security personnel for the formal take of of the security outfit in the state.
Togun, a former Director of Military Intelligence and Deputy Director- General of the state security service urged interested applicants to apply online.

Explaining that the state has been divided into five zones to ensure effective mobilisation and training of men for the security job, he stated that those to be considered for the recruitment include hunters,Vigilante groups and Agbekoya members residing in various communities and their ages would be within the bracket of 18 and 60.
He stated that when Amotekun becomes fully operational in the state, insecurity would become a thing of the past, stressing that farmers would work in their farms without any intimidation from bandits and Fulani herdsmen, who have cultivated the habit of destroying farmers’ farm and taking their cows to the farms to eat up the crops.
He added that soon, residents of the state would be able to sleep with their eyes closed, stressing that all would be done within his power to ensure that there is peace in the state.
