In a bid to have accurate data base for the issuance of title documents and expedite the processes of getting land title documents, Oyo State Government has announced its plans to enumerate properties in the state.
Commissioner for Lands, Housing and Urban Development, Barrister Abiodun Abdu-Raheem revealed this during a sensitisation programme for Zonal Land officers of the state organised by the Consultant handling the processing of Certificate of Occupancy (C of O).
Abiodun said enumeration of houses which would last for a period of 60 days would provide a comprehensive database of properties in the state.
He called on citizens of the state not to panic when they see enumerators taking the front pictures of their houses, as they are working under the supervision of the Ministry of lands, Housing and Urban Development.
The Consultant handling the processing of Certificate of Occupancy (C of O), Otunba Abiola Odunowo, while speaking on the new modalities of getting land title documents advised citizens of the state with landed properties to apply for the New Home Owners’ Charter which has the same qualities as the C of O and can be processed easily and affordably.
