Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State has given an update as regard Covid-19 in the state saying that the state now has 65 confirmed cases.
Makinde said, “The COVID-19 confirmation test for one suspected case came back POSITIVE. The case is from Ibadan South West Local Government Area. So, the total number of confirmed cases in Oyo State as at 8 PM today, is sixty-five”.
The Governor gave a breakdown of the confirmed cases by local government. Ibadan North has 26 cases, Egbeda and Ibadan South West have 8 each, Orire, 5, Ibadan South East and Oluyole have 3 each, Akinyele, Ido and Surulere have 2 each, Ibadan North West, Ibadan North East, Lagelu, Olorunsogo, Ona Ara and Oyo East have 1 each.
The total number of the local government areas with confirmed cases is 15 out of 33 in the state.
