The rate at which the active cases of Coronavirus in Oyo State is increasing is becoming alarming as Governor Seyi Makinde of the state reveals that the active cases in the state is now 22.
Makinde stated, “We have received more results from pending Covid-19 confirmation tests. The results of two suspected cases came back positive, today. Both cases are from Ibadan. This brings the number of active cases in Oyo State to 22”.
He said out of the 300 pending results, 171 have been processed, adding that more are being expected.
So far, the state has 34 cases and has recorded two death.
Despite the seriousness of the coronavirus crisis in the country, people of Oyo State are going about their normal businesses as if nothing is happening and many of them do not follow the directives on social distancing.
