Gunmen, in the evening of Wednesday, March 31 2021, attacked a former Central Bank Governor, and gubernatorial aspirant, Prof Charles Chukwuma Soludo and killed three of his orderlies.
The incident happened in Soludo’s home town in Isiofia in the Aguata Local Government Area of Anambra State.
It was gathered that gunmen disrupted an interactive session between Isuofia youths and Soludo at the town’s civic centre. The orderlies were reportedly shot dead in the meeting and one person was kidnapped. Their rifles were also carted away.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has fixed November 6 for the governorship election in the state.
