Men of the Nigeria Police Force (NPF), have attacked the protesters protesting nationwide on the alleged misuse of the Cybercrime Act, the worsening economic hardship in the country, and the “State of Emergency” in Rivers State.
The protest was led by the Take-It-Back Movement and other civil society organisations.
The protesters in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) displayed different placards with various inscriptions such as “Stop the Repression” and “Let Us Breathe,” among others.
One of the manjor demands of the protesters is the repeal of the cyber crime act by the National Assembly.
However, a well armed policemen dispersed the protesters with teargas in Abuja and when attacked, the protesters scrambled for safety.
