Lagos State Police Command has commenced investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death of Dapo Ojora, a socialite and Polo Buff, who was alleged to have shot himself in the head on Friday, December 11 2020, in his Lagos residence.
The Lagos State Police Command urged the general public to disregard media speculations making waves on the cause of his death until the investigation instituted by the Commissioner of Police, Lagos State, CP Hakeem Odumosu, to unravel the cause of his death is concluded and the findings made public.
Commiserating with the family, friends and business partners of the deceased, CP Odumosu assured that police experts in the Homicide Section of the command’s State CID will do the needful on the investigation.
The deceased, Adedapo Adelanke Ojora, Polo expert and one of the sons of billionaire businessman and board room guru, Otunba Adekunle Ojora and his wife, Erelu Ojuolape Ojora, was also the sister of Toyin Saraki, wife of former Senate President Bukola Saraki.
It was gathered that late Ojora became depressed following the downturn of his business and his marital crisis with his wife, Patricia, a trained lawyer, and an entrepreneur. His marital woes was said to have taken a heavy toll on him because of the love he had for his wife, Patricia, though he put up a brave face. Last year, he and his wife put their differences aside when they both hosted the creme of society to their daughter, Tara’s wedding to Folajimi Ayodeji, in Ikoyi, Lagos.
