Men of the Oyo State Police Command have raided the Ibadan residence of the sacked Chairman of the Disciplinary Committee, Park Management System (PMS), Mukaila Lamidi, popularly known as Auxiliary.
Auxiliary escaped arrest but the police recovered several pump action and AK 47 guns, 474 live cartridges, assorted charms, cutlasses, knives and money, among other deadly things.
He was declared wanted following his attempt to cause unrest in the state after Governor Seyi Makinde sacked him and his men from the management of PMS.
Though he escaped arrest, police arrested some members of the PMS.
The policemen were heard in a video that has gone viral that Auxiliary has continually succeeded in terrorising the Oyo State because Governor Makinde has been protecting him.
The Motor parks manager’s crisis started yesterday when the newly reappointed Chief of Staff to the Governor, Otunba Segun Ogunwuyi, revealed in a statement that Makinde has ordered the immediate dissolution of the Disciplinary Committee, Park Management System (PMS) headed by Alhaji Mukaila Auxiliary.
The terse statement reads, “I have the directive of the Executive Governor of Oyo State, His Excellency, Governor Seyi Makinde to inform you of the dissolution of the Disciplinary Committee, Park Management System with immediate effect from today, Monday, 29th May, 2023”.
Makinde announced the appointment of Lamidi as chairman, PMS Disciplinary Committee in February 2020 after abolishing National Road Transport Union of Nigeria (NURTW) in the state.
