The Nigeria Police Force has identified and detained the officer featured in a recent viral video of Naira abuse, shared by the sons of Lagos businessman, Chief Razaq Okoya, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, the Force Public Relations Officer (FPRO), revealed this in a statement.
The video, which sparked public outrage, showed Wahab and Raheem, the sons of Okoya, engaging in the abuse of the naira currency, with the policeman actively participating.
In a statement, the police condemned the officer’s actions, labeling them unethical and a violation of the core values of the force.
“The involvement of the policeman has been condemned, as it is unethical. We will always strive hard to uphold the sanctity, credibility, and core values of the police,” the statement read.
