A popular Ibadan-based standup comedian, Oluwatobi Lawrence Owomoyela, a.k.a Peteru, has died on Wednesday, December 21, 2022.
According to reports, the comedian had a long battle with lung cancer before his demise.
Late Peteru is one of the many youthful entertainers trying his best to put Ibadan on the global entertainment map. He started his career as a dancer, singer and Master of Ceremony (MC), before he found love in comedy.
Some of his colleagues in the Nigerian entertainment industry have taken to social media platforms to mourn his painful demise.
Peteru attended Government College, Ibadan and was a graduate of Purchasing and Supply from The Polytechnic of Ibadan.
